This blog is set up for Colgate University’s High School Seminar entitled “Rhetorically Speaking: History, Principles, and Practice of Public Address.” The course introduces high school students to rhetoric’s history and principles and provides practical experience constructing and delivering speeches in accord with rhetoric’s chief generic aims: informing, persuading, and entertaining. Students’ speeches will be recorded on Flip-video, posted on Vimeo (password protected), and critiqued. Students without access to the internet will be accommodated.
